FREE MOVIE

I got some FREE passes in for a new movie starring Ryan Reynolds, and Jason Bateman(and its not Green Lanterns Horrible Bosses).
The Changeup is one of those movies where 2 guys change bodies and get to live each others lives. This one is R rated, so NO KIDS ALLOWED.
Each pass gets 2 people in and the movie is playing at the AMC Dundas Wednesday July 13th at 7:00( and if they would play these previews on some day other than a Wednesday, I could actually go to one myself)

WEDNESDAY's COMICS

As promised, the new releases for the week will be on the shelves and ready to fly out of here as of 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Flashpoint #3 finally gives us a look at the being known as Project Superman. (The first issue of the book by that name was remarkably devoid of any Superman.) And don't even get me started on that last page reveal.

NEW COMICS - WEDNESDAY JULY 6th

Despite the double whammy holiday this weekend, the comics will be on sale as usual on WEDNESDAY. If I have to, I will post a picture of the New Comics rack on Tuesday night, just to prove it.

Man, that's a lot of F'in books this week, as Fear Itself and Flashpoint go head to head.
And while not listed as Fear tie-ins, Red Skull #1 is the origin of the baddie responsible for the Fear Itself,and Vengeance, is Red Skull setting up Magneto against the new Young Masters of Evil.

J.M. Linsner, is back with another mini featuring the odd team-up of Wolverine and Black Cat. Lets hope he can finish it in under a year this time.
The Cap and Thor Avengers book is a couple of short stories for each character, rather than a team-up.

Not much new from DC though,(they'll probably dump a ton of first issues on us all at once some day).
Titans Annual 2011, will lead into the regular series as it winds up the storyline before it all resets in September.

And check out Jonah Hex #69, it's drawn by that Jeff Lemire guy, who does Sweet Tooth and Frankenstein.

NEW COMICS WEDNESDAY- JUNE 29TH

Nice mix for an end of the month shipping, except for way too many Captain America titles.
All -Winners Squad looks good though, with Paul Jenkins writing.
The Hulk Annual finishes the crossover from Amazing Spider-Man and Deadpool Annuals.
Wolverine takes on the whole Marvel Universe in a sequel(prequel?) to the Punisher VS. Marvel which arrives in paperback this week.
Witch Doctor got a free preview in the back of Walking Dead recently, so it should have a built in following.
DC seems to have saved the best for last, as Flashpoint Superman arrives, and we finally find out just who or what is the Canterbury Cricket.
I've never made a big deal out of the Previews Catalog shipping before, but this issue will contain the full listings for DC's HUGE relaunch. 52 first issues in one month. Don't miss out on the beginning of this epic event.
After all, who doesn't want to own an Action #1?

Brightest Day Aftermath the Search, will help lead the Vertigo characters into the main DC Universe as Constantine and some Super helpers go looking for Swamp Thing.
Over at Marvel, Spider-Man finally dies? in issue #160 of Ultimate Spider-Man( I'm assuming a brand "new" #1 issue will follow in a few months)
Another batch of Flashpoints arrive as we see what Lois Lane gets up to without a Super Man in her life, and just how does Bart Allen still exist?
The Reverse Flash solo issue will speed out of here, as it should be the most integral issue yet.
On the list of too cute to believe, Archie Babies, an original graphic novel, will be here Wednesday as well.

Well the Jeff Lemire signing went rather well. Still a little under attended, but got to see some new faces as well as quite a few regulars.
