Seriously, I'm starting to wonder if it was such a good idea to let that black cat chase me under a ladder carrying a broken mirror last Friday the 13th.
I've heard horror stories from other retailers over the years about how they missed shipments or lost orders through Diamond, and I always wondered what they were doing wrong. I guess I've just been lucky the last few years and now it's time to pay the karmic piper.
Bad enough the shortage on 2 of the NEW 52 titles this week, but it seems I'll be short on 6 of them next week. YES, 6 of the 13 DC first issues WILL NOT be on the shelves here next week(the 21st) due to some mix up on Diamonds part. The titles affected are,
Blue Beetle
Captain Atom
DC Universe Presents
Legion
Red Hood
and Supergirl
I don't really know what I can say about this other than to appeal to my regular customers to wait the extra week and pick up your books here rather than run to another store. I do understand the need to keep up with these new books as they come out, and that this would make a pretty big order for some of you the last week of the month, but I will try and make it up to you with an in-store discount or deal of some type.
And thats not the BADDER news.
Kellie, my long-time friend and manager here at the store has felt the need to move on to other things. I know its going to be rough around here for a while as I try to get used to doing even a fraction of the work that Kellie could do. If you think your orders were messed up every once in a while before,...just wait. We'll be lucky if this place isn't a smoking crater within a month.
Seriously, I wish Kellie the best of luck with her new job, and I know all of the regular gang and customers will really miss seeing her smiling face around the store.
