EASTER SALE

Well the birds are chirping, the sun is shining, and it finally feels like spring is here.
And that means its time for a SIDEWALK SALE.
Yes the store is closed Friday, Sunday and Monday for the Easter holiday, but Saturday is ripe for a sale.
I'll have tables out front full of Marvel hardcovers priced at $5.00 each and boxes full of comics for 50 cents a piece. I should have a few boxes of assorted Manga to clear out at a buck each as well.
(Of course if you wake up in the morning and its pouring rain or snowing....just ignore this post).
This is kind of a trial for the Free Comic Day event coming up on MAY 4th. If you cant make it by tomorrow, make sure to mark MAY 4th on your calendar.

NEW COMICS WEDNESDAY APRIL 3RD

Nice batch of stuff to start of the new month.

Action Comics begins its new post-Morrison story. Diggle is a fine writer, but apparently didn't want to stick around , so this one could be a tough sale for the next few months.

Detective Comics celebrates a milestone anniversary with a giant sized special featuring a story called the 900.

Marvel launches a Thanos mini-series, hoping that his appearance at the end of The Avengers movie will bring in curious on-lookers as well as sell to fans of the original cosmic destroyer.

Dark Horse delivers a couple new Buck Books, as they tempt fans with cheap reprints of a couple of their more popular recent comics. Massive #1 ships this week, followed by Mind Mgnt next week.

SERVER TROUBLE

CANACA SUCKS!

As in now apparent, my site is down until the server figures out how to run a business with a handful of incompetent employees.

Regular pull customers who use the on-line store will need to cut and paste from the shipping list posted below, and send it to

comicsnmore@hotmail.ca

sorry for the confusion

NEW COMICS WEDNESDAY- MARCH 27TH

A new BPRD spin-off, Vampire, starts.
Guardians of the Galaxy #1 arrives as the series starts for real.
A great week for Sci-Fi as the new Image title, East of West, gives us Hickmans apocalyptic Western. DC delivers too, with Time Warp. Featuring some great short stories from DCs talent pool and beyond
Some Age of Ultron crossovers arrive with issue #3. Don't get Superior Spider-Man #6 AU confused with regular Superior Spider-Man #6 that came this week.
Same with Fantastic Four #5 AU. These are new Age of Ultron stories set in the Age of Ultron universe, only Marvel has put the same name and number as regular comics on them to confuse the shit out of customers and make it next to impossible for retailers to accurately order them.

NEW COMICS WEDNESDAY MARCH 20th

Hellblazer may be gone, but Constantine debuts. With Jeff Lemire on board writing, it should be good(although lots less sex and nudity than its Vertigo version).
Action #18 is a big extra-sized send-off to Morrisons run. Could be a lead-in to Multiversity the big crossover he had planned a while ago.

2 Justice League books on the same week again(3 if you count Vibe), I really wish DC would spread them out a little.
Simpson Comics hits issue #200 this week. Strange to see such a high anniversary number with Marvel and DC renumbering everything every year now.

NEW COMICS WEDNESDAY - MARCH 13th

The first issue of Age of Ultron sold quick, make sure to add this book to your pull list if you want the full series, Issue 2 is here already and 3 will be in 2 weeks. Coming out this close together makes it hard to get orders straight and issues 2-3 may sell out before you get to the store.
The only #1 on the list this week is Ultimate Wolverine.. but the Ultimate titles havent been burning the charts in a while, so I'm not sure how big the demand will be for this one.
With the death of you-know-who, the title of Batman and Robin will be changing to fit the guest bat-star of the month, first up is Red Robin.

The latest League of Gents story is out finally(yeah I know, mine were delayed for some reason), Its a oneshot hardcover featuring Nemo.

NEW COMICS WEDNESDAY MARCH 6th

Its the start of another mega crossover at Marvel as the Age of Ultron begins. This one is bound to get a little confusing as it ships 2-3 times a month, and the tie-in comics retain their regular title and number with the letters AU added. Their will still be regular issues of the tie-ins with the same number in the same month however.
Not much else in the first issue department, except for Sex #1 from Image. The only info I really have is that its written by Joe Casey,(be careful looking up any info on google search).
Archie #641 brings us another one of their media crossovers as the gang meets up with Glee. Probably would have been a bigger deal last year, but should still sell quick.
The Shade paperback arrives, it's a really overlooked maxi-series that got buried in the DC 52 relaunch. Its priced to move at over 280 pages for only $19.99, and features chapters by Darwyn Cooke, Jill Thompson, Gene Ha and more.
